Hi all,

Not exactly an event, but, this was something, discussed very briefly at our last meeting. To see if we can get schools to hold non-uniform days and raise money for RB. Correct me if I'm wrong ppl.

I attended Swanlea school in whitechapel, and we used to have non-uniform days every term. Now, when the time comes, I could approach them myself and see if they would do a non-uniform day for us. They used to have 50p per student, and there's 1000 something students. That would raise up a lot for us.

What do you all think :?:

yes maheda, this was an intial idea that we wanted to deploy quite quickly. i still think its a good idea, we need to ensure tho that we approach schools in the most professional manner possible. that means basically i think we need to get our plans ready and rolling. once we can show that we are a very real organisation, actually helping people, then we have more of a chance for approval from schools. i think we should be ready to roll with this in a couple of months. question though is, has anyone had any experience in approaching schools for this kind of thing? what is the produre? what kind of proposals do they expect?

I havn't done this myself, but know someone at swanlea who might be able to help in finding out what is required for our approach. Will get onto it as soon as i can.
