An interesting read, thought i'll share

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7951833.stm

I know when it comes to the environment, organisations and groups of scentists are quick to make mammoth predictions and write numerous papers on the end of time because we are abusing mother earths abundance.... but at the same time, some of these claims can go a little too far.

I think we should all try our best to be as earth friendly as possible and work towards sustaining that through time for teh sake of our children and to ensure our livelihoods which this planet is providing us with - in abundance - is protected and nurtured.

I guess the best of all sayings is the one where 'we do not need to protect the earth, because the earth will continue to develope and replenish and heal and develope again. We need to protect ourselves' - and doing that is recycling, swapping bottled water for tap water, avoiding the throw away fast fashion tactics of mainstream fashion houses and opting for better quality, longer lasting fashion and vintage, (be more creative :), grwoing your own veg and fruit, etc etc etc, basic things that many of us have forgotton in this hum drum throwaway society. No need to be all greeny and humus and bean sprouts and wheat grass juice about it, but just consciouse and caring in how we live and consume.
