Might sound like a rather childish question, but who's your fave artist?

Creativity and the buzz around photographers, artists, fashion designers, textile/interior designers etc etc seems to be ever more present in the current climate.... so who's stuff gets your juices going?
add a link to a website if any, so we can all see

me:

Amedeo Modigliani - My favourite artist - all time fave
I studied him at school and was hooked ever since - dont ask - vacant eyes, sallow skin, long limbs and lifeless melancholic expressions that seem to also amazingly depict the rigour and raw depth of life whilst touching upon the decaying of the body and time...... gets me going :D
my faveourite piece - The Boy http://www.artnet.com/magazine/picturep ... 0-28-1.jpg

Banksy
Unashamedly a huge fan of his stuff - how can you not - http://www.banksy.co.uk/

Japanese Culture Influenced Illustration and Graphics
I am a huge fan of Manga Illustration (the clean stuff thank you, lol) and Edo-era satire illustration. I love how uk and american designers have taken the Kawaii culture (the infamous culture of 'cute'-ness that one of the pivotal money generating aspects of Japan at the mo. Heres an online magazine i am a devout reader/viewer of -Ping mag - :) http://pingmag.jp/category/graphics/illustration/
Gez Fry is my top london based illustrator. His work is on this site - http://www.pingmag.jp/2006/06/02/how-ja ... ion-works/

i know rahima you were hoping that this post will be more for art and creativity not mainstream fashion, but i love this brand and his designs.
and did you know that once he designes a pair of designer addidas you cannot get them the follwing season, unless you ebay it, so take a look if you have the money and want to flaunt it, his clothes are truly renowned in the fashion world as the true designer sports brand.

Hiya thought I'd add my bit in this thread as i'm a budding art lover... :P

Banksy

Yes I too love his work mate, he is the current "bad boy" of the art world well worth checking out.

Francis Bacon

Think he may be abit morbid for some people and I may not like him as a person...but he was a really talented artist who expressed the more darker side of life.
He was one of the artists i researched back in college.
Francis Bacon

Phunk Studios

These guys are EXCELLENT designers, they appeared in one of the computer arts magazine and ive been a fan of thier work ever since.
Phunk Studios

Hayao Miyazaki
Miyazaki is meant to be the Walt Disney of Anime/Manga, his work is truely inspiring and his imagination has no limit.
I would suggest films such as Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Laputa: Castle in the Sky...these are just some of many of his work.

Hayao Miyazaki Info (Wiki)

And thats that from me...There are many more that i like but i thought id just leave you with these four :P
