guys, as a utd fan, its quite funny seeing man city attempting to break into the 'big 4' lol. to be honest, whilst the influx of foreign money is bad for the game in general in the snse that only a few gain and the rest actually deteriorate, it is hugely entertaining.

sparky completely ruled himself out of the running for next utd manager by taking the city job, but in all honesty, i think he would have been perfect for the job. oh well...bring on king eric i say!

'whilst the influx of foreign money is bad for the game in general in the snse that only a few gain and the rest actually deteriorate',

Dont really understand this, countless supporters have benefitted from watching world-class players playing each other week in, week out.
As an Arsenal supporter although I loved the old English rearguard of Adams, Dixon, Winterburn, Merson, Smith etc.etc.
there's something very magical and mystical about the foreign influx.

In the short-term the Englsh national team has deteriorated, in the long-term I think we''ll have a situation where (at least) all the European domestic leagues are saturated with 'foreign' players, so it will even out at national level.

Granted, Sparky was a great player but recally think that you need a high-profile 'foreign' manager to attract global talent.
Think when Fergie goes, it will always be hard to follow in his footsteps...
