Slapped Live: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Dzn8f5C9Rnc

What actually happened just before: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=bFdkzdNqU-w

Apparently the girl is meant to act like a "b****", but she obviously took it too far by slapping the dude! See how he shut her up tho! LOL.

I can't see the links (am at work) but I think I know what it is, my brother shows me this over the weekend.
That was hugely disturbing! Thou my brother found it very amusing (as you do ABDUL!)
The guy wacks her back and then keeps ranting about "why she slap, why she slap"?! What a freak!
No guy should ever hit a lady :x

What??? You want "equal rights" ladies? - YOU GOT IT! - An eye for an eye. If it was in the UK, the guy could've done HER for assault.

As for the co-host/entire crew attacking the guy = typical asian lack of professionalism!! And it was a sustained attack too!

"equal rights"?!
So hold up, ABDUL, let me get this straight (and by the way, might I add, what a 'great' post to put on the forum in this month!): if you were acting like a jerk and a girl slaps you, and in your own twisted little mind you thought you didnt do anything wrong, you'd slap her back??
How gentleman-like of you(!)

That's an interesting point; you think it's ok to slap a guy if he was acting like a jerk? (i.e. not talking to her nicely? LOL). How "civil" of you (!)

Anyway, how was the guy acting like a jerk?? Both contestants didn't wana talk to her (and they have every right not to). You're telling me that its ok for a girl to slap a guy cos he says that he doesn't wana talk to her?? That's ALL he said!

It was the girl who swore at him first and then attacked him - not the other way round! So anyway she slaps him; yeh too right he has the right to retaliate!

When I said "acting like a jerk" I didn't mean not talking nicely - why would anyone go all violent if someone wasn't talking nicely dummy!
I mean if a fella was being rude, offensive, and down-right heartless ( i.e. a complete jerk!) and thus gets a slap for his 'efforts' THEN do you think he should slap her back EVEN if he thinks he didnt do anything wrong??
That was the point I was getting at abdul.
And for the record, I wouldn't slap anyone - I wouldn't stoop so low as to resorting to violence or behaving in a similar offensive manner.

And regarding the vid - I didn't say the guy was acting like a jerk; that was a seperate scenario altogether. My statement was "no guy should ever hit a lady". Admittedly she wasn't much of a "lady", but still, how does that make him a better person to act the same way??

"An eye for an eye" nice motto (!)

for the record, i agree with younancy, but, and here is the but, imagine, if a girl was to talk to me, offensively, obscenely and with complete lack of respect in an antogonising, aggressive manner, would i have the right to slap her for her 'efforts'?

i think not, and i guess that is the essence of AK's point my friend...

Well make your posts clear next time, dummy! lol :P We were obviously referring to the video, and then you decided to go off on a tangent lol.

Well yeh that's a different scenario altogether. On the street yeh, I'd like to break his neck. But in principle, I shouldn't. If its just being rude/offensive, I *should* be ignoring it and walking away, wouldn't you agree?

And yes, Mabrur's right.. that's what I was trying to get at.

Abdul, my posts are plenty clear. Perhaps you ought to read things more clearly. I, however, haven't the foggiest what you're going on about in your last post.

And yes Mabrur, see, that is a better point i.e. that violence is not acceptable, no matter who it stems from. I would agree with that.
As opposed to Abdul going on about "yes, damn straight, she should get slapped!! ... eye for an eye...!!" blah blah.
I can so imagine you Abdul laughing hysterically and going "wooop wooop", wishing you can personally congratulate the ego-bruised Indian for his retaliation, when you say that utube vid! lol

Nancy, now you're just shifting the goalposts!

In your initial reply, you said "no guy should slap a lady" STRONGLY insinuating that the guy in the vid was wrong to hit the lady. When pushed to a corner, you then claimed that you were not talking about the guy in the vid, even though your comments were clearly related to the video and my subsequent comments regarding it !

No guy should ever hit a lady :x

Quoting you above; it's clear that you're speaking about the guy in the vid after which you said "no guy should ever hit a lady"?? Don't try and split hairs with me young lady, cos its obvious that you were applying that "no hitting a lady" argument on the guy in the vid, when we had all quite safely agreed that it was not his fault!

And yes, "an eye for an eye" does work. if the guy was rude to her, then she should be rude back to him - NOT exceed him by attacking him physically (which is what you are proposing).

And whats the difference between a girl hitting a guy because SHE THINKS she is right to hit him, and a guy who slaps her back because he THINK he is right to do so? Very little! In fact, one could argue that at least he didn't hit her first.

LOL! Abdul, mate, breathe. You make me laugh.

"STRONGLY insinuating....pushed to a corner...your comments were clearly related to the video..." Quit with the assumptions and the between-the-line interpretations - it is my general believe, independant from this video, that a guy should not hit a lady and that it was deeply disturbing seeing the video - as I mentioned in my original post.
Believe it or not, it is far more distressing seeing a guy be violent with a lady than vice versa - and (unfortunately as much as I hate to admit) it is because of the innate physical strenght that men have over women and the obvious display of that, or rather that 'strenght' being exercised in a violent/distructive manner.

So no, your "eye for an eye" motto doesn't work and is grossly flawed - just shows that you don't believe in being the better person!

And how was I backed in a corner matey?...in fact you're reaction to my one comment, WHICH IS A GENERAL BELIEF I STILL HOLD, seems out of proportion and overly blown out, perhaps you yourself are nursing a bruised ego! lol - who's hurt Abdul's ickle wickle feelings ai
lol

lol

Oh believe me, women have a strength that is incomparable to a man. That is the ability to try us for our patience, and even then some! lol.

lol

And yet - not once have you condemned the lady for attacking the man first! At least I took both sides clearly articulating that it would've been better if the guy had walked away, yet still maintaining that you cant exactly blame him for retaliating.

This is feminism at its very best. When it blinds a woman of her objective unbiased thinking, and in her overexerted attempt to assert her feminity, she ends up losing it in the process (by quietly implying that the girl was right to hit him just cos he was rude). Shame on you :P
